Volunteer with Washington County, Virginia Habitat
Thank you for your interest in becoming a Habitat for Humanity volunteer. The help we receive from both individuals and groups – on the construction site and with our volunteer committees and groups – enables us to fulfill our mission of providing clean, affordable, energy efficient housing to hard working families in need. It’s the vital combination of volunteer labor and donations that sustains our work here in Washington County, Virginia.
No matter what your experience level may be, we can use your help.
There are many ways to volunteer your time to the work of Washington County, Virginia. Habitat – and each is important to the success of our organization.
Ways to Volunteer
We have two methods that most volunteers get involved with Habitat for Humanity.
The first are individuals who have contacted Habitat with their interest in helping with various projects. We work building new homes, but there is plenty of work to do in the office and on homes that are chosen to be a part of the critical repair program. Individuals can also join committees when they understand the goals that Habitat is trying to achieve and how we are getting there.
Our second volunteer opportunity comes through group projects. We are always willing to work with businesses who want to volunteer their time. Our Team Build Days increase businesses visibility and also act as a team building exercise.
