Habitat for Humanity of Washington County, established in 1998, provides decent, affordable homes to families in need. Since 1976, Habitat for Humanity has built and sold over 800,000 houses worldwide for more than 6.8 million people.
Your tax-deductible donation is an investment in our community that will change the course of families’ lives for generations. In addition, as our homebuyers repay their 25-year, interest-free mortgages, the returns go directly into the Fund for Humanity to keep building more homes.

Faith-based/Company Giving

Support Our Work in Washington County and Abroad Seeking to put God’s love into action, Washington County, Virginia Habitat brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. We work in partnership both with our homeowners and others in the community. The number of houses we build and repair each year depends upon the money we raise through these partnerships. Our sustainability relies on the vital combination of funds and volunteer labor provided by our supporters.

By collaborating with Washington County, Virginia Habitat, companies can work hand-in-hand with us to provide affordable shelter for those in need – both here in Washington County. In return, we provide our corporate partners with valuable benefits, including tax deductions, public relations efforts in conjunction with our well-established brand and team build opportunities that boost company morale.

In-Kind Contributions

Washington County, Virginia Habitat also relies on the generous donation of in-kind materials to help us build more homes – ranging from construction materials to professional services to donated advertising space. Benefits are available depending upon the value of the in-kind contribution. Those in-kind donations valued at $5,000 or higher receive volunteer engagement and recognition benefits equivalent to the value of the in-kind donation.

Cars for Homes

When you donate your car, truck, boat, or RV to Habitat for Humanity’s Cars for Homes program, you can help Washington County Habitat build homes in our community. The process is quick and easy, and your donation may be eligible for tax deduction purposes if you itemize (consult the IRS or your tax advisor for more details). If you live in Washington County, Virginia, you can call 276-258-5469.
